Ecommerce Optimisation · audits and A/B tests

More of your visitors should be buying.

Most stores lose sales in the same handful of places. We find yours, rank them, and test the fixes until the numbers move.

Audits and A/B tests for American Thread, Lilac Chocolate, SeaBags, Artika, Craft Cellars and Bigley Shoes

Where we look

The same six places, in almost every store

None of these is exotic. They are ordinary, they are easy to miss from the inside, and each one can be checked on your store in an afternoon.

Delivery cost that arrives late
The buyer decides on the product page, then meets a number they hadn't planned for at the last step of checkout.
Checkout
The phone product page
Price, reviews and the add-to-basket button pushed below a tall image. Most of your visitors are deciding on a screen that shows none of it.
Product page · phone
An account before a purchase
Asking a stranger to choose a password before they have paid you anything. The first thing we check is whether guest checkout is on.
Checkout
Questions nobody answered
Returns, delivery times, sizing. The answers exist, but they sit in a footer link and not next to the button where the doubt happens.
Product page · basket
Slow, heavy pages
Apps stacked on apps. Most stores carry scripts nobody remembers installing, and every one of them is loaded before the page appears.
Whole store
Numbers you can't trust
Purchases counted twice, phone events missing. If the analytics are wrong, every decision made from them is a guess. We check this first.

Three steps

Start free. Pay only when it's worth more.

Each step stands on its own. Take the free one and leave, or carry on. Nothing rolls over without you saying so.

STEP 01
Three-fix teardown
Three specific problems on your store, written up on one page. It is yours to keep either way.
Free · 2 working days
STEP 02
Conversion Audit
The whole store, end to end. You get 15 to 20 fixes ranked by likely impact and effort, and a 45-minute call to walk through them.
£750 · 5 working days
STEP 03
Optimisation retainer
Two or three A/B tests a month. We write the hypothesis, build the variant, run the test and report what happened.
£1,200 a month · 3-month minimum

Conversion Audit · £750

What the audit covers

Every page a buyer passes through, on a phone and on a desktop, plus a check that your numbers can be trusted.

  • Home page, collection pages and product pages
  • Basket and checkout, walked through as a buyer
  • The phone experience, checked separately
  • Whether your analytics can be trusted
  • 15 to 20 fixes, ranked by likely impact and effort
  • A 45-minute call to go through them

Optimisation retainer · £1,200 a month

What the retainer covers

A steady run of tests against the list the audit produced. Your team doesn't need to build anything.

  • Two or three A/B tests a month
  • A written hypothesis for each one
  • The variant designed and built for you
  • The test run until it has an answer
  • A plain report on every test, including the ones that lost
  • 30 days' notice after the first three months

A/B tests need enough visitors to reach an answer. If your store doesn't have the traffic yet, we'll tell you before you pay for a retainer, and the audit fixes can simply be made instead of tested.

Questions

What people ask before they hire us

If yours isn't here, put it in the form below and we'll answer it before you spend anything.

What is conversion rate optimisation?

Changing your store so more of the visitors you already have go on to buy, and testing those changes so you know they worked.

Do I need a lot of traffic?

A/B tests need enough visitors to reach an answer. If your store doesn't have the traffic yet, we'll tell you, and the fixes can simply be made instead of tested.

What is in the free teardown?

Three specific problems on your store, written up on one page, within two working days.

Which platforms do you work with?

Most of our work is on Shopify. Other platforms are fine as long as we can edit the store or add a testing tool.

Why Productic

The audit and the fix come from the same place

At many agencies, one person sells the work, another audits the store and a third builds the test. With us, whoever audits your store also builds and runs the tests.

Our team has around 10 years of experience in ecommerce and technology, including leading ecommerce development and running experiments. We have done audits and A/B tests for American Thread, Lilac Chocolate, SeaBags, Artika, Craft Cellars and Bigley Shoes.

Free teardown, £750 audit, £1,200 a month for testing
